Acoustic floors for the largest mass timber office building in New Zealand
We’re proud to see our Tranquillo Acoustic Floor System helping set a new benchmark for sustainable design at 90 Devonport Road — the country’s largest mass-timber office building. Designed by Warren & Mahoney and built by L.T. McGuinness, this eight-storey project demanded exceptional sound control, fire performance and structural integrity — and our system delivered.
With its open-plan layout and timber structure, achieving acoustic separation was critical to the success of the design. The Tranquillo system provided a complete solution — combining pre-assembled battens, insulation, and a high-density substrate to reduce impact and airborne noise while maintaining a lightweight, efficient build.

“It’s an office environment, so acoustic separation was essential. The system also gave us flexibility with cabling and helped with fire compliance. It ticked every box.”
