An acoustic flooring system that accommodates floor laid services eg. wiring and delivers STC and IIC ratings to meet clause G6 (Airborne and Impact Sound) as well as sound reduction.
THE SYSTEM
The SoundDown™ Legato Acoustic Flooring System is specifically designed for use where services are to be run inside the floor cavity. Services may include electrical wiring, data cabling, plumbing and ventilation, and may be run in multiple directions. The system will always deliver noise reduction resulting in a more restful interior environment and, depending on the assembly, will contribute to compliance with building code clause G6 (Airborne and Impact Sound).
At the heart of the system is the pre-assembled, castellated air battens that are loose-laid over the flooring substructure to create a service cavity of 42 - 140 mm in height. Insulation is then installed between the battens and the flooring topper fixed to the battens to secure the system and its positioning.
Specification is simple and the system’s supporting documentation mitigates any council issues during any stage of the project. SoundDown™ also supply a range of supplementary solutions for the system as part of their hands-on approach, offering both supply or supply and install services.
The Legato system uses, where possible, locally manufactured sustainable products.
