The Solution is here
The Sound Down Flooring system is revolutionary in achieving excellent sound attenuation between floors.
Sound Down is designed and tested to achieve industry leading acoustic performance to reduce both Airborne and Impact noise through a range of frequencies.
Working with standard lightweight timber building systems, the implications of working with a concrete mid-floor are avoided, saving both time and money. The key building processes are not delayed and a solid quiet mid-floor is achieved without having to engineer the entire building for concrete.
The market has been demanding a reliable system that will consistently pass acoustic testing.
SOUND DOWN is the game changer they've been calling for.
with university-tested ratings of stc65 and iic63, sound down takes the risk out of building timber structures in multi-unit developments.

The System
SOUNDDOWN is ideal for intertenancy floors where a 60min fire and 55dB rating is required. Clause G6 of the NZ Building code calls for a design rating of 55dB in both STC and IIC and 50dB rating when tested onsite. With University of Auckland tested ratings of STC65 and IIC63, the SOUNDDOWN system gives ample margin for onsite discrepancies and can accommodate any finished flooring surface without risk of failure. Even tiling won't require expensive acoustic adhesives.
